when your're in trouble
don't drink alcohol
don't smoke tobacco
don't do illegal drugs
don't engage in immoral sex
(sex outside of Christian marriage)
don't even entertain the idea
read and study the Bible
attend church if possible
and turn it all over to Jesus
He's the only one can save you
He's the only one who can
oh, yeah, avoid swearing
don't use God's name in vain.
as they say in AA and NA,
it's a tall order.
you won't get it all in
just a day.
do the best that your can
and trust God if you slip.
we are called to perfection,
but we all fail at times.
practice loving charity
and wear out worn out rhymes.
