no help take out the trash, no coffee

Buttered Toast

10:30 a.m.

The taking of a

Toast and tea

No coffee

I refuse to make it

The Tibetans like

Buttered tea

Yak’s butter

Sweetened tea

Will Cuppy on Yaks

Many people think the yak is a funny animal.  Only one out of ten strikes me as funny, and he could be funnier.

OUR HOLY GOD

Let everything that hath breath (and breadth) praise the Lord!

Praise him in His holy temple...

Praise Him on his Holy Hill

I am about to undergo serious dental restoration.  It may cost $2000. Praise God, I think I can afford it.  It may well take over a year. Pray for me, even as I pray for you. Love, Gerry

Lake Charles

My little Fiat broke down one time

Near Lake Charles, Lou oui see Anna.

It was 1963, and I was

Headed home from New Orleans

With a carload of Rice students.

My friends went on to Houston by bus,

But I hitchhiked to Orange, Texas,

And somehow (how...I am not quite sure)

Got a hold of my friend Tim Barker,

An All American in basketball who

Was home in Orange for spring break.

Tim's family took me in and

Fed me my first fried oysters.  His

Brother took me back to my car,

And towed me all the way to Houston,

And would not take any money.

That would be unheard of today.

Tim and I were neighbors in our dorm.

Decades later I read that Tim

Had died in Noth Carolina where

He had a family.  He played varsity ball

At Rice, and majored in commerce studies.

October 9, 2020

Russell must have come in late, from AA, letting himself in, for a change, not waking me.  I liked that. I was dreaming heavily.  I woke up around midnight. Russell was pleasant.  I made coffee (none for me) and French toast. He liked it.  We discussed James Dickey's "The Sheep Child".  He enjoyed that.  I had awakened in another universe, a better, happier universe.  My tailbone hurts.  I fell out of the canvas recliner this afternoon.  Nothing serious, I hope

Good morning

Slept ok.  Up at four.  Felt bad initially, but better now.  Second difficult morning in a row. Probably my own fault.  Been fooling with my anti-depressant. Should not do that.  Happy in the new apartment.  Russell is working out with small glitches. G.

More recommendations

Also good is Hillsong Church music, based in Australia, also on TBN, Trinity Broadcast Network, channel 58-2 on my antenna TV, late at night or late afternoons.  Also, Daystar Reflections music scripture nature videos, early mornings. Channel 2, Daystar network.

Christian movies

If you get Trinity Broadcast Network, channel 58-5 on my antenna system, they show good Christian movies presented by POSITv.  I recommend them.

I Blame the Democrats

President Trump was ready to spend a trillion, and send out the second round of Stimulus checks.  The Democrats wanted two more trillion for various projects, could not get it, and the deal fell through.  If it had gone through, I could have funded a few projects of my own.  Now we don't know if it will ever come to pass. Thanks, Speaker Pelosi.  Gerry George.

Various

Had to watch NBC this morning to get hurricane news. Local Fox affiliate inadequate. Nothing on PBS   I don't have cable. Better things to do with my money.  Heard from Peter S.  First time since Christmas.  Good Republican convention. Liked Pence and Eric Trump.  Expect to win in November.

Revolution

  • At some point after the French Revolution of 1789, protestors changed the names of the calendar months to supposedly less offensive names. It was ethnic cleansing, and that is what is being attempted in the United States right now. It did not work then; it will not work now. It failed. They were all changed back. And tearing down statues won't work either. That's what they did in Communist Russia and China. Wake up America before it's too late.

Hambone

I just threw out the hambone, my Easter ham, without thinking. I could have boiled it and made a soup, but all I had to go in it was a little rice, and a can of green beans. If I had had some small navies, I would have saved it. It's too late now; I don't feel like digging in the trash

Meditation

Channel 8, WFAA, is touting Buddhist meditation today. That is not altogether terrible, but unfortunately it cannot deliver. Better practice Christian meditation. Meditate on the life of Jesus. He can save you from your sins.

Life can be very hard

For non-Christians, especially hard. If Christianity is true, and I believe that it must be, then it should come as no surprise. We know where we are headed. No one else really does

The Bible

I still believe, as I have consistently for over 15 years, that a Bible-based, fundamentally conservative, Evangelical Christian faith is the only demonstrably correct approach to our current problems, national and personal. Unless we repent and reform, there is no hope. Jesus is the answer, Jesus is the Way.

My poetry books

Available under Gerald George at Lulu.com My autobiography Tripping Like Crazy Google's under geraldallengeorge. One word

Perhaps

When you die, if you have not already done so, you will appear in the throne room of God before the Lord Jesus Christ. You may or may not be offered one final opportunity to declare your eternal allegiance unto Him. In any case, this will be your last opportunity. If even then you persist in your extreme rebellion and apostasy, you will be required to go elsewhere. May God have mercy on your soul.

Note

I did not call or contact Jeanne Lance the last time I was in California (1992). I felt she had been rude to me.

Hooray

I have lost 20 pounds

Missle Laneous

Friends and family Princes and principalities You,and you know who you are, claimed to have read the Bible recently with the Jehovah's Witnesses. I question that. Not a good translation or a valid teaching. You were given an opportunity. The Ivy League is damned.

Prayer

I pray to God to stop the plague. I pray for national and worldwide repentance. This is not the first time.

Joy

God has taken care of me, such good care, so many times, for such a long time, I almost take that care for granted, and in a sense it is valid to believe it so.  I am not just certain of God's existence, but I also believe that He is good and just, as well as merciful.  I have been a traditional Christian believer this time for over fifteen years.  I feel almost unshakeable.  My deliverances have been numerous, dramatic and extreme.  I give God thanks for His good grace and seek to share my joy with others.
